We are seeking a seasoned Senior Python Developer with a robust background in both Python and Java, boasting at least 6-7 years of experience. The ideal applicant will have a deep understanding of financial systems and products, including Equities, Listed Options and more with a strong emphasis on the Capital Market Transaction Life Cycle.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Python and Java with 6-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid experience with database management, specifically MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Demonstrated experience in settlement and clearing within financial markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial systems and products such as Broadridge, Equities, and Listed Options.
  • Expertise in data transformation and building robust Rest API and/or GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol, DTCC, and its APIs is highly desirable.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of the Capital Market Transaction Life Cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions for complex financial systems.
  • Engage in the full development life cycle including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with the transactional requirements of capital markets.
  • Design and implement APIs for internal and external use.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members.
