DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We need an engineer who has exceptional experience in platform engineering. It would be
very beneficial if this was within the context of Data but this is not essential.

Experience

Broadly speaking we require engineers that have a breadth of understanding in:
Network
Security & secure software delivery
Infrastructure
Infrastructure as code
Testing code
Automation first approach
Data transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP)
Understanding of data engineering concepts (Ingestion, pipelines, storage,
transformation)

Skills
These are the core skills that we’d require of a platform engineer joining the team
Terraform / Terragrunt
Gitlab / Github
Continuous Delivery
Continuous Integration
Google Cloud / Amazon Cloud / Azure Cloud
Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Go, NOT Bash)
Linux & command line tooling
SQL knowledge

Must Have

• Terraform (at least 3 years exp)
• Ansible (at least 3 years exp)
• GCP (at least 3 years ex)

Good to Have

• Snowflake (basic knowledge)
• At least one programming language (not BASH, either python/Ruby/Go)
